School Safety Training

School Safety Training

NCJTC provides the framework, roadmap, training, and resources to serve individuals , organizations, and communities to address the most pressing public safety needs. Most recently, the spotlight has turned to school safety. Just over 19 years ago, the Columbine High School shooting shook the nation and as a result, NCJTC received federal funding from the Department of Justice to carry out comprehensive school safety training programs across the nation. Our training and technical assistance programs set the standard for training school and law enforcement executives, as well as community leaders and public policy makers. We successfully trained interdisciplinary teams across the country to share information, resources, and expertise to address school safety concerns and established formalized systems cooperation and collaboration. NCJTC provides school safety training through regional conferences and cost recovery training programs on topics crucial to meeting the current threat and needs of the criminal justice and school communities across America.
