Did you know that more than more than 600,000 persons go missing in the United States each year? While many are located quickly, tens of thousands of persons remain missing for more than one year. Investigations into their whereabouts are then considered "cold cases" by their communities and the authorities. Learn the dynamics of conducting long-term missing and cold case investigations. Uncover specific investigative techniques and best practices to improve the skills and capacities of law enforcement personnel assigned to long-term missing cases.
**Training is being hosted by Washington Attorney General's Office-Homicide Investigation Tracking System.** Topics include: What is known about long term missing and cold case investigations, dynamics of conducting investigations, investigative techniques, best practices, and case studies.
