Training hosted by the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska. Recognize drug influence through a systematic approach using the 7-step drug recognition process. Recognize signs and symptoms of stimulants, hallucinogens, opiates, marijuana, alcohol, depressants, inhalants, dissociative anesthetics, and various drug combinations. Examine current drug trends and the legal considerations related to drug investigations.

About

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, a 2012 survey reported that approximately 23.9 million Americans have used an illicit drug or abused a prescription medication in the past month. This course was developed to meet the ever-increasing needs for professionals working in Indian Country to remain current on the most abused drugs in today’s society.
