This is a Preconference to the Wisconsin Serving Victims of Crime Conference held August 16-18, 2017. This event is sponsored by the Wisconsin Department of Justice, Office for Crime Victim Services. Preconference runs 9:00 am - 4:30 pm. Lunch is on your own.

Grant Funding Overview- Action Planning to Build Strong Grant Applications
Applying for a grant is more than just following the directions of the RFP and submitting a document. It begins with a need to address a problem or fill a gap. Ideas are formed to address the needs and plans are developed to alleviate the problem. This session demonstrates key planning steps in order to maximize an application for funding. Participants will outline a plan to engage community partners to develop multidisciplinary approaches to create stronger applications and more successful programs for the community.
