With school threats on the rise, keeping children safe has become more challenging. If you are part of your school’s safety team (school resource officers, administrators, and educators), it is vitally important to learn about the psychological and behavioral aspects of threat assessment and management. During this 8 hour training, you will learn about normal versus abnormal child and adolescent behaviors, how to identify red-flags, why threats are made, and how threats can be managed along a pathway toward violence (both short and long-term) to help ensure safety. You will come away with solutions to common concerns and new multidisciplinary assessment and management strategies.
