Stronger partnerships and cooperation between federal, state, local and tribal authorities will not only make our tribal communities safer, but surrounding communities as well. Examine effective strategies that incorporate collaboration among multi-jurisdictional and multidisciplinary partners to address public safety concerns. Explore success models of other tribal communities and their surrounding jurisdictions.

Upon completion of this course, attendees will be able to: * Identify collaborative methods to foster partnership development or enhancement between tribal, federal, state, county and local law enforcement and service provider agencies. * Describe examples of successful community policing partnerships to address alcohol and substance abuse and other community safety threats. * Explain the importance of multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary partnerships in enhancing public safety * List key stakeholders that can potentially assist in addressing public safety threats in your own community.
