The COVID-19 pandemic has altered many aspects of everyday life, especially in the field of education. This includes the ability of the National Criminal Justice Training Center of Fox Valley Technical College (NCJTC) to carry out in-person training and technical assistance events and/or activities. While we (NCJTC) have developed a wide-range of online training opportunities, we continue to receive requests for in-person training, technical assistance, meetings, and/or consultations (“events and/or activities”).
While COVID restrictions have been lifted or relaxed in many locations, the threats to health and safety continue to be monitored and evaluated by the CDC based upon new variants and COVID infection rates. The Department of Justice issued a directive on April 4th, 2022, that allows in-person training to take place under certain circumstances and we have begun scheduling or carrying out training in accordance with those guidelines. We will also continue to comply with any state, regional or local COVID guidelines as that information becomes available. As a result, there may be circumstances where we move forward with training under one set of circumstances and then make adjustments as needed based on the prevailing situation and any new information made available to us by the Department of Justice, the CDC or state and local government officials.
NCJTC cannot prevent anyone from becoming exposed to, contracting, or spreading COVID-19 while participating in NCJTC in-person events and/or activities. Therefore, if you choose to participate, you acknowledge that you may be exposing yourself to and/or increasing your risk of contracting or spreading COVID-19.
Prior to coming to any NCJTC event and/or activity, you agree that you will evaluate yourself for symptoms of COVID-19 or other illness. You also agree and commit that you will not attend any portion of the event and/or activity if you are experiencing or have recently experienced symptoms of COVID-19 or other illness or believe you have been exposed to COVID-19 within the 10-day period preceding the event and/or activity. The CDC’s most recent list of COVID symptoms and information regarding testing, and isolation can be found at their website. Please review this link prior to attending training: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html
Travel Recommendations are also in a constant state of flux and participants should review the following link: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/travel-during-covid19.htmlTerms and conditions for participation in NCJTC training and technical assistance programs
Participants also understand that the COVID-19 pandemic is a constantly evolving situation and NCJTC reserves the right to make last minute modifications to the manner in which it conducts or carries out events and/or activities. Whenever possible, we will try to provide sufficient notice so that you avoid incurring additional costs. However, you acknowledge through your participation that you will not be reimbursed for new charges or increased costs associated with changes we deem necessary to respond appropriately to changing conditions.
Fees, Refunds, Transfers, Substitutions
Payment is expected to be received at the time of registration or within 30 days of the receipt of an invoice.
Should NCJTC cancel a training session for any reason, students will be contacted via email. If NCJTC cancels a training session, collected registration fees will be refunded in full, less applicable service fees on credit card payments.
Student may drop a course at any time by logging into their student account. Students dropping a course or canceling their registration must notify NCJTC at least five business days prior to the course start date to be eligible for refunds. Substitutions and transfers are accepted within five business days prior to the course start date, unless noted otherwise. Inquiries about cancellations may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or made by calling (855)866-2582.
