The Tribal Justice System Planning Process (TJSPP) was developed to best meet the needs of the tribal grantees as they develop written strategic plans. The written plans are created through a data informed planning process that guides justice system development to promote public safety and effective justice system operations.

A robust library of publications, addressing the specific needs of tribal communities, is available to supplement your training and technical assistance though the program. The Tribal Law and Policy Institute library houses resources addressing victim issues related to violence against Native women, sexual assault, child abuse and neglect, tribal-state collaboration, public law 280, healing to wellness and juvenile justice.

Tribal Resources for Justice Systems and Law Enforcement focuses on law enforcement strategies concerning issues such as gangs, alcohol and substance abuse, and victimization in tribal communities. This CD-ROM contains more than 50 COPS Office, U.S. Department of Justice, and nongovernmental publications and resources, including statistics and links to tribal-focused public safety websites.
