Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of use or misuse of opiates, heroin, methamphetamines, cocaine, other stimulants, hallucinogens, marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, alcohol and other depressants, inhalants, dissociative anesthetics, other chemicals and various drug combinations. Review updated trends on Fentanyl, Fentanyl laced pills, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamines, synthetic cannabinoids, Butane hash oil, vaping, and cannabis edibles.

Brent has over 31 years of law enforcement experience working as a deputy, police officer, special agent, special agent supervisor and special agent in charge, 27 of them being in the area of narcotics. Brent began working narcotics on a street level team which involved various undercover assignments and field operations. Throughout his narcotic career, Brent worked lab investigations, major narcotic traffickers and large-scale marijuana cultivation cases. Brent was a Regional Operation Commander for the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) and was also assigned to the California Department of Justice (CA DOJ) Clandestine Laboratory Team. For the past 16 years, Brent was a CA DOJ special agent supervisor who served as the task force commander of a multi-agency HIDTA narcotic task force. The HIDTA task force primary mission was conducting large scale narcotic investigations which included clandestine laboratory investigations.
