Valerie Bribiescas is a Detective with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in Arizona where she specializes in crimes of violence, child abuse and family violence investigations. She has over 24 years’ experience as a peace officer, with the majority of her policing career with tribal law enforcement. Ms. Bribiescas is a nationally recognized expert on the cultural complexities of law enforcement operations on tribal lands and advanced forensic interviewing. She teaches law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and child protection officials culturally based approaches to conducting forensic interviews involving Native American children and adults.

Francis E. Bradley Sr. (Diné) is the former Chief of Police for the Hualapai Nation in Peach Springs, Arizona and current patrol officer for the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 232 and retired as a commander with the Navajo Nation Police Department where he served from 1980 to 2002. Officer Bradley is Dine and of the Bitter Water clan born for the Towering House clan. Being an Indian Country warrior and given the opportunity to learn the traditional teachings and philosophies of his people while serving and protecting them has given him the unique opportunity to meld the “traditional” and “modern ways into his daily life as a peace keeper in Indian Country. He has followed the Warrior philosophies taught to him and has shared these beliefs with Indian Country youth, the communities, the tribes and those he has had the honor to have served with for over 38 years now.
