This is webinar 11 of the **Supporting and Working with Men as Allies and Advocates to End Violence and Sexual Assault Against Women and Girls in Tribal Communities** Webinar Series. Participants will learn how these programs engage men in examining harmful norms, understanding the impact of their behaviors, and practicing new skills that foster safety and respect. The session will highlight approaches that encourage men to take active roles as allies for women and girls, mentors for younger generations, and leaders in creating nonviolent, inclusive environments. This workshop offers practical strategies for building effective re‑education spaces where men feel supported in their growth and equipped to advocate for community-wide wellbeing.

Nigel Perrote   Independent Consultant

Nigel Perrote has 16 years of experience working with youth and young adults in a variety of capacities from direct service to program administration. His professional experiences primarily focused on youth and young adults experiencing homelessness, pregnant and parenting adolescents, public health (sexual health), youth development, sexual violence, and sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. Nigel currently works at the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families as the American Indian Human Trafficking Program Specialist. In this role, he provides department direction in strategic planning and delivery of culturally appropriate services to meet the needs of American Indian and Alaskan Native youth at risk or who are being sex and/or labor trafficked. Nigel is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and holds B.A in Psychology and Sociology – Law, Criminology, and Deviance, and an M.A. in Tribal Administration and Governance, both from the University of Minnesota.
