Greg Brown, MCJ, CFE, DHL
Program Manager, National Criminal Justice Training Center
Greg Brown has been working in the corrections field for over 32 years. He is the former chief probation officer in the 20th Judicial District of Colorado. Greg has worked with both adult and juvenile populations and in a variety of specialized programs. He has extensive experience in the supervision, treatment and management of juvenile and adult offenders, including domestic violence and sex offenders. In addition, Greg has spent considerable time developing specialized programs, including specialized enhanced domestic violence offender programming, a gender specific female team of officers with expertise in women’s issues, problem solving courts, standards, policies, restorative justice programs and best practices for the community based management of high risk offenders. Greg is a program manager with the National Criminal Justice Training Center at Fox Valley Technical College.

Rebecca Thomforde Hauser
Associate Director, Gender and Family Justice Programs, Center for Court Innovation
Ms. Thomforde Hauser is the Associate Director of Gender and Family Justice Programs at the Center for Court Innovation in New York, NY. Working from a perspective of social justice and grounded in collaboration, Rebecca assists jurisdictions nationally to enhance their court and community response to domestic and sexual violence. Rebecca engages communities to identify internal strengths and challenges in their efforts to address domestic and sexual violence, abusive partner intervention and engagement, provides on-going support in those efforts, including training to judges and court stakeholders on a variety of domestic violence issues, focusing on evidence-based best practices, risk needs assessment, abusive partner intervention and engagement and victim safety.

Robyn Mazur
Director of Gender and Family Justice Initiatives, Center for Court Innovation, NYC NY
Robyn provides assistance and strategic planning advice to courts and communities who are interested in enhancing their response to gender-based violence by sharing research and best practices, reviewing policies and protocols, conducting needs assessments and providing ongoing consultation. Robyn also coordinates and provides training to judges and community leaders across the U.S. and internationally on the issues of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking and barriers faced by justice involved women and families. Robyn is an attorney and has extensive experience in the field of intimate partner violence, procedural fairness and access to justice. Before joining the Center, Robyn worked at the National Network to End Domestic Violence in Washington, DC and the House of Ruth in Baltimore, MD.

Denise Metz
Supervisor, 20th Judicial District Probation Department, Sex Offender Unit
Metz began her career with Probation in Denver in 1999 and moved to Boulder Probation in 2001. She supervised Domestic Violence offenders and then transitioned into the sex offender caseload in 2005. Denise is a state certified trainer in the VASOR and SOTIPS sex offender risk assessment instruments as well as a High Risk Victim Offender Dialogue (HRVOD) facilitator. She has presented multiple times at the Colorado Sex Offender Management Board’s (SOMB) yearly conference and was recently accepted to present at this year’s renowned ATSA (Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers) conference. Denise graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder and went on to earn her master’s degree from the Monterey Institute of International Policy Studies.

Danielle Fagan
Victim Assistant Coordinator, Boulder County Probation
In addition to her duties as a victim assistant coordinator, Danielle Fagan currently sits on the Colorado State Restorative Justice Council. She has been serving victims as an advocate for almost 20 years and is passionately committed to integrating victim centered restorative justice practices into her work. Currently, she facilitates restorative justice processes, high risk victim offender dialogues and provides support and services to victims whose offenders are on probation. Danielle earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Colorado in Boulder and her master’s degree in criminal justice at the University of Colorado in Denver. When she isn’t at work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her two children, her Golden Retriever and lots of Colorado activities.

Marcie Howell
Associate, National Criminal Justice Training Center
Marcie Howell is an NCJTC associate. She has over 25 years of experience working in the field of sexual abuse intervention and treatment. She has worked as a victim specialist in the District Attorney's Office, the Client Service Director at a Child Advocacy Center, and was the Victim Representative on the Colorado SOMB for three years. She is currently in private practice as a therapist treating sexual abuse and is working as the Victim Representative on both a juvenile and adult sexual offense treatment and supervision teams. She has been a trainer and presenter on many facets of working in this field over the course of her career.
