Gayle was honored to work for 10 years responding to violent crime scenes in Tribal communities, assisting victims, survivors, and their families through the investigative and often through the prosecution phases of the criminal justice system. She served on the FBI’s nationwide Rapid Deployment and Evidence Response Teams that responded to critical incidents across the country; such as Ground Zero after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, and the Red Lake Nation school shooting. Gayle was the first FBI direct-service Victim Specialist, implementing the program in what DOJ calls “Indian Country”. The program has now grown to 40+ FBI Indian Country VSs. She was privileged to help implement the CAP Crash Assistance Program for the SD Highway Patrol, and assisted with developing the first Victim Assistance Academy training for Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) VSs.

Kevin works with program efforts funded by the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), Office of Justice Programs, U.S. Department of Justice. This includes providing training and technical assistance for the OVC American Indian/Alaska Native Comprehensive Tribal Victim Assistance and Tribal Victim Services Set Aside Programs. Prior to this, Kevin provided fatherhood and healthy relationships programing in communities, jails and juvenile residential treatment facilities, as well as trainings, workshops and keynote addresses for various Native American tribes, communities, conferences, high schools and youth programs.

Bonnie Clairmont serves from TLPI's Minnesota office. Prior to her employment with TLPI, she was the Outreach/Client Services Coordinator for Sexual Offense Services of Ramsey County, a rape crisis center. While employed there, Bonnie provided leadership in the development of Sexual Assault Response Teams and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner programs and offered guidance with multidisciplinary sexual assault protocol development. She has worked more than twenty-five years advocating for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. She has dedicated much of her work to providing and improving services for victim/survivors of sexual assault, battering, and child sexual abuse, particularly those from American Indian communities. For four years she coordinated the Strengthening the Circle of Trust Conference, a conference focusing on sexual assault and exploitation perpetrated by American Indian spiritual leaders/medicine men.
