Dr. Murphy brings 40 plus years of law enforcement and public service experience to the position serving in a multitude of roles giving him a unique perspective beginning with boots on the ground to Chief of Police. His journey of public service began as an entry level police officer in Kansas City, Kansas to serving as Chief of Police in Mesquite, Nevada. Dr. Murphy most recently served as Director of Special Services for The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Alexandria, Virginia where he was responsible for the Long Term Missing and Unidentified, Forensic Services, Image Enhancement/Age Progression Units while serving as the National Amber Alert Coordinator. Prior to his time on the national stage, Dr. Murphy served as Coroner for the Clark County Office of the Coroner/Medical Examiner for 13 years while simultaneously acted as the Interim Director of Juvenile Justice Services and Chief Lobbyist for the 76th & 77th Legislative Sessions of the Nevada Legislature.

Rayon's position encompasses Diversity & Inclusion Services, Tribal outreach, and Affirmative Action. Brown joined FVTC in 2004. Before being named Vice President for Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and Interim Vice President for Student Services, he held various positions at the College including Director of Diversity & Inclusion, Manager of Multicultural Student Services, Intercollegiate Athletics/Student Life Coordinator and Student Life Recreation Assistant. In 2014, he served as the Director of the Brother-to-Brother program, an initiative designed to increase retention rates of students of color at the College. Brown earned an Associate degree in Marketing from FVTC and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. He earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership & Administration from Concordia University in Mequon, and is working toward a doctoral degree in Leadership, Innovation and Continuous Improvement.

Tekoa has been a strong advocate for critical causes such as domestic violence awareness, youth crime prevention, adverse childhood experiences, disproportionate minority contact, and trauma-informed care. For the past five years, Tekoa has had the privilege of being a part of the Pace Center for Girls family as the Vice President of Resource Development. In addition, Tekoa also helps lead the Power Justice Equity group, which focuses on promoting equitable and inclusive leadership within the organization. Her commitment to reducing disproportionality extends beyond her work at Pace Center for Girls. She has trained over 11,000 individuals including, criminal justice and medical professionals, corporate executives and HR professionals. Tekoa's exceptional work has been widely recognized, earning her prestigious accolades such as the NBA Social Justice Game Changer Award, Onyx Magazine's Women on the Move Honoree recognition, and the Orlando Business Journal Champion of Diversity Award.
