Eddie Bertola is the founder of Bertola Advisory Services where he consults for FEMA / IPAWS in mass notification strategies, missing person alerts, and engagement with the public during emergencies. He is an advisory board member of the California Child Abduction Task Force. He worked for the California Highway Patrol for fifteen years in the Counterterrorism and Threat Awareness Section as the lead statewide instructor for AMBER Alerts, Blue Alerts, Silver Alerts, and Endangered Missing Advisories. He also worked as the department Operations Center Supervisor, statewide coordinator for the Terrorism Liaison Officer Program, and the Office of Internal Affairs where he supervised the creation of the Office of Law Enforcement Support for California Health and Human Services Agency. He has received several awards and commendations throughout his career including a California State Senate Resolution for Distinguished Service.
