This webinar will discuss how the stress response presents in children when trauma (specifically abuse/neglect) has occurred acutely or chronically. The goal of this presentation is to provide law enforcement, child protection workers, prosecutors, CAC professionals, and other professionals that work with youth with insight into effective ways that they can assist a child in reducing their stress response. This will support in preserving their mental health throughout the investigation process and prosecution. By doing this, the outcomes are better for both the investigation as well as long-term effects on the child. This webinar is unique as it will have case examples from multiple professional lenses.
