Andrea has 30+ years of experience in the field of submerged evidence/body recovery, aquatic investigations & water rescue training. She is the Vice President for Lifeguard Systems, Inc. and she has consulted on, reviewed, and/or studied more than 4,000 body-found-in-water cases including buckets, bathtubs, pools, rivers, lakes & oceans as well as diving related fatality cases. For 20+ years, she served as a medicolegal death investigator private contractor for the Dutchess County Medical Examiner, and she has 18 years of experience as an EMT. She is a published author & has taught law enforcement, military members, firefighters, medical personnel, death investigators, divers & jurisprudence personnel worldwide in Aquatic Abuse, Death, and Homicidal Drowning Investigation programs, in aquatic rescue/recovery & dive classes. She has a B.A. (Univ. of Michigan) & a Masters in Forensic Investigations (Univ. of New Haven). She is also a Fellow of the America Academy of Forensic Sciences.

Prior to her current role, Allyson served as the Support Advisor to the United States Air Force Surgeon General’s Office in the Sexual Assault Medical Management Program and as a Forensic Nurse/Nurse Practitioner for many years in various locations. Allyson’s expertise is in Adult/Adolescent Sexual Assault, Pediatric Sexual Assault and Abuse, Asphyxiation, and Interpersonal and Family Violence. She has the following licenses and certifications: APRN, CNP, SANE-A and SANE-P. Allyson has a BSc from Kansas University, in Lawrence KS a BSN from St. Louis University, in St. Louis, MO and an MSN from Barry University, in North Miami, FL.
