Chuck Fleeger retired from the College Station Police Department in 2020 where he had served since 1989. He was the Assistant Chief of Police and presided over the Administrative Services Bureau which included dispatch, records, jail, evidence, animal and facilities. Chuck was responsible for a staff of over fifty civilian professional staff members and a budget of approximately six million dollars. He has been involved with his region’s AMBER Alert notification system since 2003, and their seven county Child Abduction Response Team which obtained certification in 2011. He serves as the President of AMBER Alert Network Brazos Valley, a recognized 501c3 organization that helps provide law enforcement training and public education. Chuck helped to develop his region’s AMBER Alert notification plan (www.aanbv.org) and has served as its non-profit President since 2003. In 2009 he helped lead efforts to develop and train a multi-county Child Abduction Response Team. This team, the Brazos Valley Child Abduction Response Team (www.bvcart.org), sought out and obtained Department of Justice certification in September 2011.
