The Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA) requires jurisdictions to develop a risk classification tiering system based upon sexual offense of conviction. Many jurisdictions have implemented SORNA, but a number have not. In addition, some jurisdictions have implemented additional ways of tiering sexual offenders based upon other risk criteria. This webinar will explore the requirements of SORNA related to tiering of sexual offenders, and look at other strategies to enhance the risk classification of registered sexual offenders. This webinar is suitable for law enforcement, attorneys, policymakers, victim advocates, and supervision officers.
