Training Schedule: November 8 | 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Arizona Time November 9 | 8:30 am - 4:30 pm Arizona Time **For information concerning continuing education units, please view our [policies](ncjtc.fvtc.edu/policies#continuingeducation) page.** The cold case course is instructed by a proven team who has afforded scores of family members as well as the original investigative teams, with investigative and prosecutorial focus. This focus has resulted in resolved cases that had been considered closed, suspended or forgotten. Our team of experts include: * Brian Killacky, Retired Detective from Chicago PD Cold Case Unit and former Sergeant of the Complex Murder Unit CCSAO Investigations Bureau, Illinois * Tom Biesty, Supervisor, Cold Case Homicide Unit, Cook County State's Attorney's Office, Investigation Bureau, Illinois

Mark retired after 27 years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation where he spent most of his career conducting violent crime investigations. Mark held positions such as Crisis Management Coordinator, Violent Gang Safe Streets Task Force Coordinator, and team leader for the FBI’s Southeast Region Child Abduction Rapid Deployment Team. For the last 7 years of his career, he was assigned to the Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) where he was responsible for providing behaviorally based operational support to law enforcement involved in the investigation of violent crimes and threats. Mark co-authored Crimes Against Children: Behavioral and Investigative Perspectives and the third edition of the FBI’s Child Abduction Response Plan. Since retiring, Mark continues to provide operational behavioral analysis-based consulting services to government and private sector entities.
